Hartpury College Equine Veterinary And Therapy Centre Secures easibed plus Support - October 2007

easibed plus has confirmed a new sponsorship for the Equine Veterinary and Therapy Centre at Hartpury College in Gloucestershire that will see all the Centre’s stables bedded with easibed plus for the next three years.

The Hartpury project is the latest in an extensive portfolio of sponsorships in the equestrian industry by easibed and easibed plus, including several championship riders.

Hartpury Equine Veterinary and Therapy Centre is an equine practice based within Hartpury College, offering treatment of musculoskeletal conditions using a combination of veterinary medicine and physical therapy. The centre also regularly hosts events for national squads interested in maximising performance in international competition, alongside lectures and demonstrations for many different groups.

Centre Manager Kathryn Nankervis, a physiology graduate with an MSc Equine Science and a particular interest in equine exercise physiology, said: “We are delighted to be able to use easibed plus, as the health and hygiene benefits it will bring to the Centre are potentially immense. We will be evaluating the advantages it brings in some depth and providing feedback to easibed plus on a regular basis.”

Having chosen easibed plus for the stables used at the FEI World Para Dressage Championships, Hartpury College has now also appointed easibed as official bedding supplier for the college’s 70 loan horses. Yard manager Paul Connor explained: “easibed is dust free and offers numerous benefits, together with very good customer service. It is simple to manage and will help us keep the stables clean and healthy for the horses and students. We have 230 stables here and will also be making easibed available to the students who keep their horses at College on a do-it-yourself livery basis.”

Announcing the three-year agreement, which also includes support for Hartpury College’s Pre-Olympia Showjumping fixture, easibed National Sales Manager Ian McColville said: “Working with Hartpury College at the FEI World Para Dressage Championships was very interesting and we are really pleased to now be supporting the work that the College does. Feedback on easibed plus from the Equine Veterinary and Therapy Centre will be of great importance and we are totally committed to working with such an expert team.”
