Ellen Wins British Open Show Jumping Championship!

easibed sponsored rider Ellen Whitaker is the new British Open Show Jumping Champion.
Ellen, who uses easibed for all her horses, rode Equimax Ocolado in the final round at the Championships on Saturday where she beat her cousin Robert Whitaker to the Championship title by just seconds.

Ellen managed to compete the final round in 48.10 seconds, with four faults, while Robert's time was 51.65 with four faults.

A delighted Ellen said: "I can't believe it. I took a chance in the final found and decided to go as fast as I could, knowing that Robert's horse might get a fence down because he often bucks under pressure. It was the right decision on the night but it still feels odd wanting one of your family not to do well."

The Championship title for Ellen followed another successful British Open Show which also saw her win the Zinc Event Management British Speed Stakes on Kanselier on Saturday. She now sits seventh on the BSJA's rankings list.
