“Having used the new easibed plus for six weeks I am now converted!
Initially I was a little sceptical as I am not usually a fan of the deep litter system, but by using this bedding as advised by the local easibed rep (who is more than happy to visit your yard personally) I was pleasantly surprised.
The bedding has a lovely aroma, is completely dust free, settled quickly and does not move. The dung is easy to remove and the wet drains to the bottom of the bed where it is well absorbed, leaving a dry layer on the surface. I remove the wet once a week and replace with fresh bedding.
Having previously been using up to three bales of shavings a week (large stable + dirty horse!) I am now only using one bale of easibed plus – making this bedding exceedingly cost effective and time saving for me!
The fly deterrent added to this bedding made an enormous difference to the amount of flies and midges in his stable compared to before – resulting in less fly spray needed and a much happier horse!
Overall I am thoroughly impressed and will definitely be continuing to use this brand of bedding.
