Spencer Wilton and Dolendo claimed the 2007 National Dressage Championship, achieving the highest combined score in the easibed Grand Prix and Grand Prix Freestyle.

Owned by Ann Cory and Carl Hester, Spencer was delighted with the 17.1hh Donnerhall gelding, as after much international success and potential selection for the British Team travelling to the 2007 European Championships this year, he was sidelined with injury that kept him out of competition for some time.

However Dolendo’s recovery heralded his amazing return to form, delighting connections with a win at the Grand Prix Special at Hickstead CDI at the end of July and victory at the National Championships. Spencer paid tribute to “Dolendo’s fabulous character and Carl Hester’s support” and was delighted to

receive his awards from easibed-sponsored rider Ruth Edge, who was herself in the prizes with two top-three placings over the four-day National Championships.

She collected third in the Open Novice Championship with her Shadowfax, the current Open Novice Winter Champion and also third in the Open Medium with Paper Tiger.
