FOOT & MOUTH PRECAUTIONS IN PLACE FOR HORSE BEDDING MANUFACTURERS

Horse-bedding manufacturers easibed has introduced measures at its headquarters to guard against the spread of foot and mouth disease, following the recent outbreak in Surrey.

From today (7/8/07) the company will disinfect every lorry arriving at its Manchester-based site to ensure the risk of spreading the disease is kept to a minimum. They will also require all visitors’ vehicles to be sprayed and lorry drivers and visitors to disinfect their footwear before being allowed on to the site.
